Legal Requirements to Purchasing a Firearm

Anyone who is legally allowed to own a firearm is allowed to buy it or place it on consignment. The following information is not intended to be a complete guide to all applicable laws. It is your responsibility to be in compliance with all Federal, state, and local laws when using this site.

What does legally allowed mean? You must be an adult who is able to enter into a contract. Anyone desiring to purchase a firearm must be able to pass a background check. There are age limits on the sale of certain items. The NRA also has put together a terrific NRA guide to state-by-state gun laws, as well as the ATF. Again, it is your responsibility to make sure that you comply with the laws of your city and state. We do not tolerate attempted illegal activity here!

If you attempt to purchase a firearm and do not pass the background check, you may be subject to a 50% restocking fee.

Don't lie for the other guy. Buy a gun for someone who can't and buy yourself 10 years in jail. Don't purchase a firearm for someone who can not legally own one. Click here for more information.

You do not have to be a licensed dealer to buy a firearm. However, you must make arrangements with your FFL holder otherwise you will not be able to pick up your firearm.

I am eligible what's next?

You will be required to prepay using a money order, or credit card. We allow 14 days for checks to clear. If you are outside of the DFW metroplex and you need your firearm shipped, you will need to get a copy of your transfer dealer's FFL license, signed by the dealer in blue or red ink and fax it to us.
